At the opening ceremony, Hunan Children’s Hospital renewed its agreement with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, expecting further cooperation in pediatric oncology research. The two hospitals jointly established a pediatric tumor center in 2011, with exchanges in remote medical treatment and staff training.

This forum aimed at building an international platform to show the achievements of pediatric research and push academic exchanges. It invited nearly 700 representatives from 30 countries and regions, including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, to discuss pediatric issues and current trends.

The main session of the forum covered pediatric training, health promotion, nursing management and health education. The parallel sessions included otorhinolaryngology and anaesthesiology, health education and neonatology.

Huang hoped Hunan Children’s Hospital can introduce more foreign talent and academic exchanges to improve its medical skills and contribute to people’s health.
