The Marco Polo Award Ceremony was held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on October 26. Zhang Jianguo, administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and vice president of the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel (CAIEP), presented the award to Howard P. Milstein from the Milstein Medical Asian American Partnership Foundation for his outstanding contribution in promoting communication between international talents.

The Marco Polo Award was established in the 90s to honor foreign enterprises or individuals that have helped China’s international communication work. There have been more than 30 award winners, including former US President George W. Bush.
