Premier Li Keqiang met with foreign experts in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People on Jan 20. Li sent regards to all foreigners working in China on behalf of the Chinese government.

Foreign experts from universities and enterprises shared opinions with Premier Li on talent cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship, intelligent manufacturing, vocational education, and China’s international influence.

Li said that China maintained stable economic development in 2016, with a growth rate of 6.7 percent, contributing to 30 percent of the world’s economic growth. More than 13 million people found jobs in cities.

China’s economic development is a result of opening up to the world. China has been supporting international trade and communication, and will promote further opening up to attract foreign capital, investment and encourage learning about advanced technology and management experience from foreign experts.

China is determined to maintain good growth momentum in the new year. Li emphasized that China welcomes foriegners to start their businesses in China and conduct innovative research. China will provide help to foreigners in many aspects, including project application, scientific research resources, and intellectual property protection.
