On Dec 4, Lu Ming, deputy administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), met with Bernhard Loos, German Federal Parliamentarian and president of the GBS Economic and Technical College. The two parties discussed cooperation in the promotion of high-end equipment manufacturing, technological innovation and high-skilled personnel training.

Lu said that China is implementing the strategy of "Made in China 2025" and needs a large number of "artisans" and professional and technical personnel. Germany is developing Industry 4.0 and is a good model for China. SAFEA is willing to provide a platform for talent exchange and staff training.

Loos introduced his school's cooperation with Chengdu, Sichuan province and Nanchang, Jiangxi province. He expressed the hope that it will become an overseas training and cooperation agency for SAFEA and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in dual-system education and the training of skilled personnel. As a German Federal Parliamentarian, he is very pleased to see that China and Germany work closely together. At the national level, he noted that China's development is more focused on quality and efficiency, and expressed his willingness to contribute to the quality and efficiency of China's vocational education.
