Vice president of Melbourne University visits SAFEA

Lu Ming, deputy administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, met with Professor Simon Evans, vice-president of the University of Melbourne on Dec 11.

Evans introduced recent cooperation projects with China in the fields of finance, public administration and hospital management. He also pointed out that the University of Melbourne will set up a Continuing Education and Training Institute to co-ordinate arrangements for China's training team. Hopefully, SAFEA’s training management division will establish formal cooperation relations with the university.

Lu introduced new progress in training abroad in recent years and said that SAFEA will establish closer cooperation with the University of Melbourne, strengthening cooperation in training of professional and technical personnel in the fields of agriculture, environmental protection, advanced manufacturing and new materials.
