Vice president of UC Davis visits SAFEA

Lu Ming, deputy administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, met with Dr. Ermias Kebreab, vice-president of University of California, Davis (UC Davis) on Dec 11. They exchanged views on deepening cooperation.

Lu reviewed the history of cooperation between SAFEA and UC Davis, and recent project cooperation in animal husbandry, environmental protection, innovation and development. He pointed out that the 19th CPC National Congress required a new plan of agricultural development and rural personnel development. Lu said that he wishes UC Davis will set up a quality training course in fields such as agriculture and animal medicine, and further deepen cooperation in professional and technical long-term training.

Kebreab said that SAFEA has long been an important partner of UC Davis which hopes to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the future.
