SAFEA administrator meets founder of Warwick Manufacturing Group

Zhang Jianguo, administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA), met with Sushantha Kumar Lord Bhattacharyya, president of Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) of the University of Warwick, on June 29.

They exchanged views on strengthening China-UK scientific and technological cooperation and talent exchange activities.

Zhang welcomed the visit of Lord Bhattacharyya and his delegation. He said that the Chinese and British sides have maintained good cooperative relations in the fields of scientific and technological development and talent exchange. China has sent many professionals in the fields of injection molding to the University of Warwick.

He said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to innovation and personnel training. The cultivation of high-end talents in the field of science and technology will be a major focus of future cooperation. He said he hopes that Lord Bhattacharyya will continue to promote talent exchange and cooperation in the field of science and technology between China and Britain, and that cooperation between WMG and Chinese universities, enterprises and institutions will be enhanced.

Lord Bhattacharyya mentioned that WMG has established good cooperative relations with Chinese universities and business circles for many years, and said that China and the UK will further deepen cooperation in science and technology.
