Party Chief and Vice Minister of MOST LI Xueyong visited Academician of CAS Shi Changxu, the well-known scientist in material engineering, on the eve of his 90th birthday.

VM LI highly affirmed Shi’s brilliant academic achievements and his contributions to national defense, economic development and material sciences. During the talk, Shi put forward his invaluable suggestions for the S&T undertaking in the “Twelfth-Five Year Plan” period. He also expressed his hope to bring into play the role of enterprises as main players in S&T innovation, so as to facilitate commercialization of S&T findings.
