An Exhibition on Major National Science and Technology Achievements during the "11th Five-Year Plan" Period opened at China National Convention Center on March 8. The Exhibition was co-hosted by MOST, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance and the General Armament Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, together with other departments. Minister WAN Gang attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.

The exhibition presented the major S&T achievements in China in the past five years thanks to the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, showcased China’s innovation capacity, and fully demonstrated the leading role of S&T in the economic and social development.

A press conference was also held to present major achievements in energy conservation and emissions reduction, agriculture related S&T, and biomedical science.
