In order to usher in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2012 London Olympic Games and popularize sports science and technology and disseminate the concepts of “People’s Olympics and Hi-tech Olympics” among the public, China Science and Technology Exchange Center, China Science and Technology Museum and the British Council in China jointly conducted the China-U.K. interactive exhibition of sports science and technology ---“Velocity-Exceed Your Limits” in Hall C of China Science and Technology Museum, open to the public free of charge from 25 May to 5 July 2007.

As one of the key demonstration events of 2007 National S&T Week, this exhibition aims to deepen public perception of sports science and technology in a vivid form and showcase the achievements of China and the U.K. in the technical sector of sports science and technology and sports engineering.

The audience can learn about the science and technology supporting sport events through the multi-media presentation. What’s more, they can participate in person in the interactive sports with sports stars on the “same stage” through the numerous appliances and experience the pleasure of “exceeding limits”.
