In light of the demand to carry out national strategic study by the expert panel in the on advanced energy under the 863 Program, the High Technology Research and Development Center organized the expert panel to conduct investigation and research in the main Chinese R&D institutes of the        ITER Program. The expert panel listened to the briefings of project leaders, learnt about the latest development of the ITER Program and discussed the key technologies and major problems. They also inspected the so-called “Artificial Sun”, the nuclear fusion experiment device “HL-2A Tokamak” and learnt the details about the experiments.
