On 23-24 May, a seminar on the management of newly established state key laboratories for the sector of life sciences was held in Wuhan. YE Yujiang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Basic Research and LIU Yanmei, Deputy Director of the Basic Research Management Center of MOST and LIU Depei, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the seminar. Altogether over 130 people were present at the seminar including representatives from Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Medical Sector, General Logistics Department of PLA as well as some laboratories.

This seminar is significant in improving the management of newly established state key laboratories and facilitating the exchanges and cooperation between different laboratories.
