On 24 May 2007, the Seminar on Integrated Clean Use of Coal hosted jointly by the Department of High and New Technology Development and Industrialization of MOST and the Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Beijing.

In light of the characteristics of coal resources supply and energy demand in our country, the delegates conducted in-depth, detailed and heated discussion on the key technical issues, performance and cost, system application and guarantee measures relating to the efficient, clean and integrated use of cola resources and shared their opinions regarding corresponding solutions.

The clean and integrated use of coal is an important approach to solving the energy and environment problems facing our country at present. The holding of this seminar will effectively boost the development of the clean coal utilization technology in this area.
