On 12 June, the Organizing Committee for 2007 International Conference on Bioeconomy held a press release, at which Vice Minister LIU Yanhua briefed the media on preparations for the 2007 International Conference on Bioeconomy.
In order to implement the strategic deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on taking biotechnology as the key to catch up with international hi-tech level and speeding up the development of Tinajin Binhai New Area, MOST and the People’s Government of Tianjin Municipality invited 13 relevant departments inside the country and 7 international and regional organizations to jointly hold the 2007 International Conference on Bioeconomy in Tianjin from 26 to 28 June 2007.
Up to now, preparations for this conference have been going on smoothly and everything is basically in place, ready for holding a high-quality conference with wide academic scope and great international influence.
