On 21-22 May 2007, the Department of Social Development of MOST organized experts to conduct an acceptance check of the National S&T Base for Modernization of TCM (Yunnan). LIU Yanhua, Vice Minister of Science and Technology and YANG Jiankun, Assistant to the Governor of Yunnan Province attended the acceptance meeting and delivered important speeches. The expert panel was chaired by Academician ZHANG Boli from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and composed of experts from domestically well-known universities, research institutes and enterprises.

The expert panel made a field inspection of Yunanan Wenshan Sanqi Standardized Planting Base and Yunnan Institute of Materia Medica and listened to the work report made by Yunnan Provincial S&T Department. The experts agreed that the National S&T Base for Modernization of TCM (Yunnan) has satisfactorily fulfilled the assessment targets and achieved the anticipated objective. They accepted this project unanimously and held plate awarding ceremony.
