On 14 April, the Provisions on Designation and Management of Hi-tech Enterprises were jointly promulgated by MOST, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation.

The Provisions stipulates the conditions for hi-tech enterprise designation, the organization and implementation of the designated work, responsibilities and punishment.

By enhancing the government guide to R&D activities in enterprises with the focus on innovation, the Provisions would play a significant role in carrying out the national innovation strategy, boosting up innovativeness of enterprises and facilitating the upgrade of the hi-tech industry in China.
