On the afternoon of May 19th, 2008, Minister WAN Gang visited the earthquake rescue and relief expert panel of the State Disaster Reduction Commission/MOST.
In these days, the expert panel worked around the clock to provide remote sensing impact analysis map of the disaster-stricken areas for the Disaster Resistance Headquarters as well as relevant suggestions.
The Minister put forward three requirements on the key tasks at the current stage: first, to strengthen the macroscopic judgment and integrated analysis on the current disaster conditions; second, to strengthen the study on disaster affected population reallocation and epidemics prevention and other health countermeasures; third, to carry out research and investigation in the disaster-hit areas.
