Recently, the Department of Basic Research of MOST and the Department of Science and Technology of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a meeting to review the 973 special project on traditional Chinese medicine in Beijing.

Participants discussed fruits of the project and the plan for the next step. Acknowledging the significance and achievements of the project over the past four years, experts called on further support. They also offered suggestions on how to improve the organization and implementation of the project.

ZHOU Guangzhao, head of the 973 Expert Panel, CAO Jianlin, Vice Minister of Science and Technology, and WANG Guoqiang, Vice Minister of Health and Head of State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine addressed the meeting.
