At the invitation of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Republic of Korea (ROK), WAN Gang, Minister of Science and Technology led the Chinese delegation to visit ROK on May 22nd -23rd, 2009.

During the visit, WAN and Ahn Byong Man, Minister of Education, Science and Technology co-chaired the 10th Session of China-ROK S&T Cooperation Joint Committee Meeting. Both reviewed the S&T development in both countries since the 9th session. Both agreed to launch “China-ROK Joint Research Program”, and incorporate energy saving and emission reduction, climate change, and bio-technology into the priority fields for cooperation.
