During the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue, Minister WAN met with US Secretary of Health and Human Services Ms. Sebelius on May 24.

Both sides reviewed cooperation and exchanges in public health in the past, and reached consensus on jointly financing research into emerging epidemics and chronic diseases and establishing, in the future, joint research centers or laboratories which integrate industries, universities and research institutes.
