2014 China-New Zealand Scientist Exchange Program Officially Launched

 

The 2014 China-New Zealand Scientist Exchange Program co-sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China and Ministry of Research, Science & Technology (MORST) of New Zealand and co-organized by China Science and Technology Exchange Center and the Royal Society of New Zealand launched the opening ceremony in the Royal Society of New Zealand, Wellington on June 4, 2014. Mr. Wang Lutong, Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand made a speech at the opening ceremony. Dr. McCarthy, CEO of the Royal Society of New Zealand, and officials from MOST and MORST made speeches on the conference, introducing the latest progress of China-New Zealand S&T cooperation respectively. Ten outstanding Chinese young scientists from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Lanzhou University etc attended the ceremony. They would respectively go to New Zealand’s research institutes and universities such as University of Auckland and Massey University for short-term visits lasting 4 to 6 weeks and conduct joint research with partners of New Zealand.
