China & Israel Talk about Innovation during Mobile World Congress

 

 

 

Under the auspicious of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) and the Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA), co-hosted a panel discussion on China-Israel partnerships and innovation models under the framework of the China-Israel Innovation Cooperation Center (CIICC) on the sidelines of the 4YFN (4 Years From Now) innovation summit of the Mobile World Congress on the afternoon of June 29th, 2016. The aim is to further innovation cooperation and utilize the platform of important international exhibitions to promote China-Israel cooperation.

From June 29th to July 1st, the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2016 was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This year’s Congress focused on the application of innovative mobile technologies in such fields as innovative cities, drones, mobile games, virtual reality and Internet+. The event attracted 53,000 participants from 104 countries and regions. Aside from the Israeli national pavilion, 20 innovative Israeli companies attended the event with latest technologies to seek cooperation opportunities.

Following the opening session, discussion was held among Mr. Yossi Vardi, Chairman of the 4YFN; Mr. Dovi Ollech, founder of E.merge; Mr. Amir Gal-Or, CEO of the Infinity Group; Mr. Yair Geva, partner of the Herzog Fox & Neeman; Mr. Zhang Jiang, Managing Director of Ping An Ventures; Mr. Lu Zhihua; Deputy General Manager of Changzhou-based Rehabunion Company; Ms. Fan Ling, Deputy Managing Director of Beijing Gaichuangtiancheng Incubation. Participants shared their experience of bilateral cooperation in technological innovation, investment and innovation models. The event was very well received among participants and achieved a full success.

CSTEC also recommended Chinese partners to the 20 Israeli companies and facilitated potential cooperation.
