Recently, Vice Minister LI Xueyong hosted a ministerial work conference to carry out the suggestions Mr. HE Guoqiang, Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, put forward in National Work Conference on Modern Remote Education for Party Members and Cadres in Rural Areas on 28 April, 2007, and promote the building of remote education resources of MOST in an all-round way.

Vice Minister LI stressed the importance of this mission and pointed out that we should bring into play the major role of local S&T departments. Centering on the two tasks of resource building and utilizing S&T system for staff training, we should make all efforts to accomplish the mission which benefits the people in rural areas.
