Recently, the “Research on Application of Semiconductor Illumination Light Source in Plant Tissue Culture” in the new materials area of the 863 Program, undertaken by Nanjing Agricultural University, has achieved great progress in the development of LED light source specifically for plants. They have developed soft LED lighting system for research on plant photo-biology and have successfully applied it in the experimental study of the 863 research project.
