Low Altitude Remote Sensing System on Ultra-light Aircraft Wins 2007 First-class Mapping Technology Award

The low altitude remote sensing system on ultra-light aircraft is the application research project undertaken by the data service department, the National Remote Sensing Center. After two years of study, test and engineering application, it was reviewed by Science & Technology Award Committee, Chinese Society of Geodesy Photogrammetry and Cartography and won 2007 first-class Mapping Technology Award.

The low altitude remote sensing system on ultra-light aircraft is a product with China’s full proprietary IPR. In the past two years, it was used to do remote sensing for archaeology at Ju Yan site, Inner Mongolia and make aerial photograph for urban planning over small cities such as Mancheng and Hengshui, Hebei Province and Guang’an, Sichuan Province.
