Vice Minister CAO Jianlin met with a delegation headed by Michael Petras, Vice President of General Electric (GE) and CEO of GE Lighting & Industrial on July 24, 2009. The two sides exchanged ideas on intensifying cooperation in the R&D of light emitting diode (LED) among other fields. Participants of the meeting included LI Jinmin, Head of the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), RUAN Jun, Deputy Secretary-General of China Solid State Lighting Alliance, and HUA Shuming, Head of National Lighting Test Center of China.
