A seminar on the 20th anniversary of the official inception of China’s capital market was held by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in Beijing on December 30, 2010. Wang Weizhong, Vice Minister of Science and Technology addressed the event. He commented that the development of China’s capital market over the past two decades demonstrates the importance of capital market reform to S&T advancement and innovation. To improve the capital market is part and parcel of China’s endeavors to build an innovative country. The Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to deepen cooperation with the CSRC and other related authorities to create a more favorable environment for technology-based enterprises.
