The 6th Meeting of China-Egypt Joint Committee on Intergovernmental S&T Cooperation was held in Beijing on November 30th, 2011. Vice Minister Cao Jianlin and Egyptian Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research Maged Al-Sherbiny co-chaired the event. 

The two sides briefed each other on their latest development and policies on science and technology, and reviewed the follow-up of joint projects since the last session and exchange activities under China-Africa S&T Partnership Program. With the joint efforts of both S&T authorities and researchers, the cooperation between China and Egypt takes a variety of forms and covers a wide spectrum of areas. 

The two then discussed the priority areas and cooperation modes for the next step.
