Ambassador Laurent Bili said that cooperation between China and France in the field of agricultural science and technology had a long tradition and was full of vitality and the meeting was highly relevant in the context of increasingly prominent global issues such as climate change. He said that the French Embassy in China would further promote agricultural science and technology cooperation between the two countries and create more opportunities for personnel and institutional exchanges in the future.

The seminar systematically reviewed achievements China and France have accomplished in agricultural science, technology and innovation cooperation, discussed models of agricultural cooperation between the two countries in the new era, engaged in in-depth discussions on key cooperation fields such as crop science, tropical agriculture, plant protection and agricultural ecology, and extensively exchanged views on other research areas of common interest.
