On June 29, 2023, the opening ceremony of China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Camp and ASEAN Youth Innovation Tour in China was held in Kunming. The event was supported by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center. Dai Gang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony.

　　The Training Camp and Innovation Tour aims to establish a platform for cooperation and exchange in innovation and entrepreneurship between the youth from China and ASEAN. By sharing experiences and mutual learning, the youth will deepen scientific and technological exchanges and facilitate technology transfer and innovation cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. This event is organized by Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center (SSTEC) and Yunnan Academy of Scientific and Technical Information. A total of 25 participants from well-known incubators of ten ASEAN countries and the winners of the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were invited to join the training camp. In the seven-day innovation tour in China, the participants will visit universities in Kunming and Shanghai for innovation and entrepreneurship practice. They will have face-to-face exchanges with 30 mentors, managers, investment institutions, and pioneering entrepreneurs. They will expand their network of partners and explore collaborative projects with online and on-site seminars and discussions.
