On August 22, 2023, in the presence of the leaders of China and South Africa, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and the South African Department of Science and Innovation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation on science, technology and innovation. On the basis of equality and mutual benefit, both sides will jointly support activities such as exchange of young scientists, collaborative research projects and platform building, as well as cooperation on science parks, innovation and entrepreneurship. The two sides will deepen sci-tech cooperation and contribute to the building of a high-level community with a shared future.
